Customers can now file automatically generated e-Manifests directly from within Fleet Manager Professional
GUELPH, Ontario, 03 Jan 2006 – Trans+Plus Systems Corp., known in the transportation industry as a trusted provider of leading edge software technology, officially announced that it is currently enhancing Fleet Manager Professional to provide an automatically generated e-manifest solution to help customers easily manage ACE (Automated Commercial Environment) requirements and comply with the new regulations set by the United States Customs and Border Protection agency (CBP).
"Partnering with CrimsonLogic to develop a simplified method for carriers to provide automated advance manifest information prior to their arrival into the US, just made sense", said Dave Wright, President of Trans+Plus. "They were the first in Canada to be fully accredited by the US Customs and Border Protection agency (CBP) to provide connectivity into the US Automated Commercial Environment (ACE)."
CrimsonLogic is a leading IT solutions provider offering innovative business to business services throughout the world. Supporting technology integration to their web-based connectivity software, CrimsonLogic aids technology providers like Trans+Plus to provide an integrated solution that will help their customers easily comply with the new upcoming Automated Commercial Environment regulations.
ACE regulations will become mandatory in the early part of this year and will require carriers crossing into the US through Canada or Mexico to submit pre-notification of shipment details to CBP prior to arriving at the border. By entering an agreement with CrimsonLogic, Trans+Plus customers using Fleet Manager Professional will be able to directly send an e-manifest to CBP without leaving Fleet Manager Professional. Using detailed information already gathered within the software, Fleet Manager Professional will automatically generate the e-manifest which is then sent via an approved electronic transmission to US Customs.
The partnering of technology helps Trans+Plus customers reduce costs, and save time. It shortens data entry time by eliminating the need to have employees re-enter information regarding trips, crew and passengers, equipment and commodities on the ACE Secure Data Portal.
"Trans+Plus is dedicated to their customers’ success. We’ve been gearing up for ACE for quite some time now. We feel it’s our duty to guide our customers and provide the tools they need to be more efficient, save money and be compliant. When ACE becomes mandatory, we want to make sure all of our customers have signed up, are tested and are ready to go," Dave added.
