CrimsonLogic Wins brandon-hall.com Award for Excellence in eLearning

Singapore, 8 October 2003 - Leading IT services provider CrimsonLogic today announced that its eLearning module of David's Diary received a Bronze award in the Custom Content Category at this year's brandon-hall.com Excellence in eLearning Awards. This award category honours the best of customised courses recognizing new and innovative design approaches. Each course was evaluated on the techniques used for mapping the problem with the learning solution, the quality of instructional design, the level of interactivity and usability, and the evaluation and assessment tools employed.

David's Diary, the interactive eLearning module of the preventive drug education book launched by the National Council Against Drug Abuse (NCADA), is designed to send out a hard hitting anti-drug message to students of secondary schools and vocational institutes. To capture the interest of the teenagers and ensure content retention, CrimsonLogic's team of instructional designers had to analyze the target audience's profile through standard research techniques in order to ascertain the right mix of learning strategies, incorporating design and multimedia techniques. The result is a highly intuitive and captivating eLearning module which engages students through the use of dramatic graphics and images, emotionally charged audio and music clips, and interactive quizzes and puzzles. The approach used is a non-prescriptive, learner-centered approach rather than a teacher-centered one. David's Diary can be accessed at www.davidsdiary.org.sg .

"We are honoured to be one of the first Asian companies to receive a brandon-hall.com award in this category," said Mr. V. Mathi vanan, CEO of CrimsonLogic. "We see this as a demonstration of our ability to offer internationally bench-marked training solutions for our business partners."

CrimsonLogic provides a total eLearning solution, Logecis , comprising content development, learning management system and supporting infrastructure to ensure constant quality and secure delivery. Some users of Logecis include the Law Society of Singapore, Singapore Quality Centre and BEA Systems, Inc.
