Solution Now Compatible with RosettaNet eBusiness Process Standards,
Solves B2B Integration Challenges of Large-Scale Partner Enablement
SINGAPORE, 13 May 2004 - Leading IT service provider CrimsonLogic announced today at Hi-Tech Logistics and SCM World Asia 2004 the general availability of its TradePalette solution for RosettaNet, a fully scalable, service-oriented solution that provides companies with a single interface to receive RosettaNet eBusiness process standards. This allows users of TradePalette to conveniently link their company's demand management, direct material procurement, logistics, part management and order fulfilment processes to their supply chain partners. The adoption of RosettaNet standards aims to eradicate the current manual processes in supply and demand chains.
A major challenge of supply chain management (SCM) and integration is the effort to determine Business-to-Business (B2B) trade communication, coordination and collaboration processes. Intermittent connections in isolated pockets, however, leave persistent gaps along the supply and demand network. This falls short of connecting the more sophisticated chains of suppliers, contract manufacturers (CMs), distributors and third-party logistics companies. This is prevalent among small and mid-sized businesses (SMBs), which make up to 80 percent of the total supply network.
“Partner integration needs to go beyond the big players. There has to be a paradigm shift. B2B must progress from being point-to-point to being more connected or reactive- like a network,” said V. Mathivanan, CEO of CrimsonLogic. “Each partner already has their own hub, and there is a genuine need to connect the smaller players with their large subsystem suppliers. The global network is the ideal goal, whether it takes the form of a private exchange hosted by an OEM, or a proprietary network within a public industry hub, such as CrimsonLogic.
“After enabling more than 10 major supply chain hubs and over 1,000 trading partners, we have proven that our hosted offering can drastically reduce integration costs, and help our customer ramp up large-scale partner integration rapidly throughout the industry, capitalizing on the benefits of RosettaNet,“ he added.
"The combination of B2B supply chain integration software and outsourcing services being delivered by members of the Solution Provider community will accelerate the adoption of RosettaNet standards, via the low cost enablement of SMB companies into the RosettaNet trading networks. The end result is an immensely scalable connectivity model, in which the overall impact for connected enterprises is maximized," said Steven Yeo, Vice President, RosettaNet Asia.
With this announcement, CrimsonLogic now offers companies a range of hosted solutions and integration client software to facilitate RosettaNet-based document exchanges between internal business applications and external trading partners. In addition to supporting RosettaNet Partner Interface Processes® (PIPs®), CrimsonLogic provides client software to integrate enterprise backend systems, transaction delivery services, and supply community enablement programs, electronically connecting all trading partners in the global supply chain.
