Singapore Network Services Launches New Corporate Brand

CrimsonLogic will Deliver Innovative Business Solutions for the International Market

Singapore, 15 August 2001 - Singapore Network Services (SNS), a leading application services provider (ASP) in Asia Pacific, today announced the birth of its corporate brand, CrimsonLogic.

CrimsonLogic positions SNS as a premier ASP that continues to pioneer new solutions in key sectors such as trade and logistics, government, legal and healthcare. It will leverage on SNS experience and expertise gathered over the last 13 years to further innovate and create bolder, cutting-edge solutions.

With CrimsonLogic, SNS transcends national network service provision as it establishes itself as an international player. It will re-invent current processes, remove constraints, give its clients access to new ways of working, and open their doors to new business opportunities.

Mr V Mathivanan, chief executive officer of SNS, said, "CrimsonLogic aims to challenge conventions behind the tedious work processes of businesses and governments. What distinguishes CrimsonLogic from the rest will be our experience, capability and passion to develop innovative solutions in anticipation of market demands. Some of the solutions that we have developed and have become industry standards include TradeNet, LawNet and Electronic Filing System."

Singapore Network Services Pte Ltd will be retained as the name of the parent company while CrimsonLogic will be the international corporate brand. Through this brand, it will introduce new and innovative solutions and services for the Singapore and international markets.

In fact, CrimsonLogic today introduces its first solution, AsianConnect. It is a one-stop online business site with real-time market and business intelligence to enhance prudent business and investment decision-making in Asia Pacific. In times such as the current economic downturn, AsianConnect will be an essential gateway for any businesses to connect and collaborate through the reliable business intelligence and services provided. It is an essential decision-making tool, with minimal risks, for corporate executives, research personnel and top business decision-makers.

Looking beyond the local market, CrimsonLogic will expand globally by transferring its technology and management know-how into overseas operations and joint ventures. It has established a subsidiary company in Melbourne, Australia, which will be inaugurated by the Australian Minister for State and Regional Development, Mr John Brumby, on 28 August 2001. The beginning of many initiatives, CrimsonLogic's foray into Australia will bring innovative solutions to key sectors such as trade and logistics, legal, government and healthcare.

In the pipeline is the establishment of a Canadian office in Toronto, Ontario. The office will market CrimsonLogic services and solutions to the North American market, in particular the manufacturing industry, small and medium enterprise sector and international trade business.

SNS has also collaborated with key organisations in Malaysia, China, Mauritius, Middle East and Ghana. It has also, in March this year, set up a software development and training centre in Bangalore, India.

To facilitate regional e-Trade and e-Commerce, SNS works closely with the members of the Pan-Asian E-Commerce Alliance which links trading hubs in China, Hong Kong SAR, Taiwan, South Korea and Singapore. This cross-border initiative puts in place secure, trusted and efficient IT infrastructure and facilities to enhance seamless trade in the region.

Said Mr Mathivanan, "By the middle of 2002, we will witness elements of cross-border trade fulfilment taking place, using secure infrastructure and facilities. We envision the alliance to expand gradually to include more countries for seamless international e-Trade."

SNS has more than 8,400 companies using its various application services in Singapore and the region. It employs about 400 staff (mostly IT professionals) in Singapore, covering employees in its headquarters, data centre, call centre and service bureaus downtown.
