SINGAPORE, September 16, 2003 - In a constant effort to provide service excellence to its customers, leading IT services provider CrimsonLogic has invested more than S$6 million to standardize its services on Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE) platform using UNIX server-based architectures. The extensive technology upgrading involved 11 major services, over 40 agencies, about 35,000 daily transactions and was completed within a compact 2-year timeframe from the point the decision was made all the way up to training the technical staff and project implementation. This upgrade positions CrimsonLogic to better meet increasing business challenges such as scalability, faster service delivery and tighter security in a cost-effective manner.
CrimsonLogic embarked on the technology upgrade when the industry was moving toward web-based applications. Customer s' requirements were changing rapidly and there were increasing expectations for faster and more efficient services. The adoption of web-based applications offers technological improvements in the long run: from better scalability and tighter security, to a more robust architecture that would provide savings ranging from 30-50% for the company.
With the newly adopted technology platform, customers can expect more and faster user-friendly services on the web. All 11 services that were previously running on mainframe including TradeNet, CPFLine/IRASLine, $Link and eStamping, were migrated to the new technology platform in phases. This move was completed within 5 months.
This achievement follows CrimsonLogic's attainment of the prestigious PSB BS7799 Certification in February 2003, affirming the company's ability to provide secure and quality services to its customers.
Said Mr V Mathi vanan, Chief Executive Officer of CrimsonLogic, "We are constantly on the lookout for topnotch IT infrastructures to better support our services and build unrivaled solutions on. The successful technology upgrade once again testifies to CrimsonLogic's tireless pursuit for quality. Our customers and partners have been extremely supportive and we wouldn't be able to complete the whole upgrading exercise without their tremendous support and the enormous trust they have on us."
CrimsonLogic will share viewpoints, solutions and approaches to maximizing technology investments at a CrimsonLogic CXO Breakfast Talk on 2 October 2003 . Jointly organized with Sun Microsystems, the Talk will focus on what it takes to move eCommerce forward into the future.
