Global IT Services Provider CrimsonLogic Establishes Presence in Manila

Company behind acclaimed nationwide government systems in trade and judiciary sectors to inject innovative solutions in the Philippines

Manila, PHILIPPINES, 28 November 2003 - Leading IT services provider, CrimsonLogic, today opened its new office in Manila , the Philippines . CrimsonLogic Philippines Inc. will market its suite of innovative and comprehensive solutions and services to the Philippines market.

" Philippines has positioned itself as a global IT services hub with the renewed focus by its government to provide online transactional services to its citizens. This creates a strong pull for us to set up our operations in Manila ," said CrimsonLogic CEO V Mathi vanan.

Established in 1988 in Singapore , CrimsonLogic offers trusted and innovative solutions and services globally in key government and business sectors such as trade and logistics, legal, healthcare, insurance, taxation, social security and transportation. CrimsonLogic today has offices in several parts of the world including Australia , Canada , China , India , Malaysia , Mexico , Panama and the Middle East . It has also set up a dedicated software development centre in Bangalore , India , in March 2001.

To date, CrimsonLogic has developed more than 20 highly credible and secure solutions, including world-first hallmarks such as TradeNet, the Electronic Filing Solution, eStamping and CertOfOrigin. It constantly adopts the latest technologies when developing new service offerings. In the trade and logistics sector, for example, CrimsonLogic developed Singapore 's first comprehensive trading solution, TradePalette, enabling importers, exporters, traders and freight forwarders to connect seamlessly with their business community through a single interface.

The proven expertise in Trade and Logistics and the credibility of the company led the Philippine Bureau of Customs (BOC) to sign a memorandum of understanding with CrimsonLogic to transform the BOC's document submission procedures to an Internet-based system, powered by CrimsonLogic technology.

CrimsonLogic's portfolio comprises a series of web-based eGovernment solutions for the filing of corporate tax returns, transfer of vehicle ownership forms, stamping of documents related to the purchase, lease and mortgage of properties and the transfer of stocks and shares. At present, there are more than 8,000 companies using CrimsonLogic application services in Singapore and the region.

Earlier this year, CrimsonLogic developed a world-first solution called CertOfOrigin. Exporters can apply for and print Certificates of Origin from any computer anytime through CertOfOrigin, saving trading community time and money. The web-based application and certification system, built on Public Key Infrastructure and supporting security-related technologies, enables secure and convenient approvals of documents required to authenticate the origin of the goods traded.

Aside from its eGovernment expertise, CrimsonLogic's eLearning expertise has been given global recognition by winning a Bronze award in the Custom Content Category at this year's brandon-hall.com Excellence in eLearning Awards. This award presented to CrimsonLogic for its David's Diary segment honours the best of customised courses recognizing new and innovative design approaches.

Mr Querubin has over 20 years of IT experience working with reputable companies such as SGV&Co., Andersen Consulting Singapore and Sun Microsystems Philippines. His global experience includes long-term assignments in Saudi Arabia , United Kingdom , Malaysia and Singapore . He has provided consultancy services to international agencies such as the UNESCO Principal Regional Office in Asia Pacific and the South East Asian Ministers of Education Organization - Innovation Technology.

e sits as Private Sector Co-Chair of the Human Resource Development Subcommittee on IT Skills of the IT and eCommerce Council of the Philippines, the highest ICT policy making body in the Philippines and also as the Chair of Business Development Committee of the Makati City Information and Communications Technology Council. He is a founding Board Member of the Philippine eLearning Society and a certified trainer of the American Management Association.
