SINGAPORE, 29 January 2004 - Leading IT services provider CrimsonLogic has been appraised at Level 3 of the Capability Maturity Model® for Software (SW CMM®) developed by the Software Engineering Institute (SEI). With this achievement, CrimsonLogic's customers can be assured that superior processes are being used in the development of innovative solutions and services which meet their requirements of quality, timely delivery and reduced risks.
The SW CMM is a quality process model pioneered by the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) that focuses on the software development process aspects of a Total Quality Management effort. SW CMM has become synonymous with good quality software and a global renowned model for quality process improvement. The CMM helps organizations to consistently achieve quantitative business targets like cost, real-time deadlines, quality of service (QoS) requirements, which are critical competitive factors in the market.
“The achievement of SW CMM Level 3 reiterates CrimsonLogic's relentless commitment towards quality and passion for continual improvement,” said Mr V Mathivanan, Chief Executive Officer of CrimsonLogic. “It not only affirms our ability to provide quality services, it also helps CrimsonLogic to attain a competitive edge by providing specific guidance on best practices and a path for process maturation through continual improvements.”
A team led by a SEI-authorized Lead Appraiser conducted the assessment of CrimsonLogic using rigorous CMM-based Appraisal for Internal Process Improvement (CBA-IPI). CrimsonLogic's robust systems and processes also meet the standards set by international bodies such as the ISO 9001:2000 and security standard BS7799.
