CrimsonLogic opens way for Asia Pacific training needs with eLearning portal
BEA systems, Inc (Nasdaq: BEAS) is the world’s leading application infrastructure software company, providing the enterprise software foundation for more than 13,000 customers around the world, including a majority from Fortune Global 500. Headquartered in San Jose, Califonia BEA has 81 offices in 34 countries.
BEA faces two key challenges in training its customers in Asia Pacific.
As major cities in the region are too far apart, BEA must always be mindful of the cost of running customer training programmes.
CrimsonLogic Logecis interactive online learning solution was the ideal way to address BEA’s training needs in the Asia Pacific region.
Content which was uploaded on the Logecis learning management system (LMS) can be accessed from anywhere in the world. With this in place, there is no need to fly instructors to the different cities to conduct BEA courses for customers. This offers a cost-effective solution for both BEA and customers as training is now easily available and more affordable.
“BEA launched our first Asia Pacific eLearning portal with an instructional course on the latest version of its most widely used application server.” said David Lam, Vice President of Asia Pacific Services with BEA systems.
CrimsonLogic’s team of instructional designers created the online courseware using its benchmarked methodology to ensure consistent standard content. Techniques such as scenario-based learning and testing to assess understanding were also used to optimise learning experience. Security controls are in place to ensure that the content is protected at all times and that only authorised users can gain access to the content they are entitled to.
“CrimsonLogic has been taken a load off us. We do not have to worry about setting up and maintaining an operation at a remote site, and can focus on our core business for our customers,”
“Our eLearning portal, powered by Logecis, enables us to increase our market reach to distant locations in Asia Pacific. It opens a new phase of our involvement in this part of the world and we expect it to generate additional income streams and accelerate the adoption rate for BEA,” added Mr Lam.
