Ang Cheng Kiat, Head, Group IT in PSA International, has overall responsibility for Information Technology for PSA group of companies globally.
Cheng Kiat is the key driver of PSA’s Group IT transformation since the setup of Group in 2012. He is responsible for the setup of Global IT team through integration of Global IT resources and charting the IT transformation strategy, directing the product roadmap for next generation Global Terminal Operating Systems Global Port Community Digitalisation, Global Cybersecurity Masterplan and Global Enterprise Systems. He has spearheaded the creation of a global IT organisation with alignment to business strategy and agility in driving IT solutions. Under his leadership, Group IT serves as the process excellence enabler for PSA terminals by leveraging on and developing cutting edge technology to establish a competitive advantage in the industry.
Cheng Kiat was previously responsible for PSA e-commerce solutions with the customers and driving the integration of processes with the shipping community. He has also held positions in IT strategy and planning, Quality Management and Corporate Systems. He has led the team in winning the National Infocomm Awards for most innovative use of Infocomm Technology in 2006 – Singapore highest accolade for Infocomm innovation.
Prior to joining PSA, he was a Regional Director for E-commerce and Information Strategy in a global MNC and was responsible for the development and implementation of IT, e-commerce products and solutions in the region. He led the IT initiatives with customers in streamlining the internal and customer-facing processes. He was also a member of the management team that developed the global information strategy. He has held positions in IT regional Director, management of computerisation of global front line offices, IT transformation projects and business process re-engineering projects for global offices.
Cheng Kiat has also previously held position as board director in IT and Logistics companies.
Cheng Kiat graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Computer and Information Sciences) (Honours) and a Master of Business Administration from National University of Singapore.
