Wai Yan is currently the Group Chief Financial Officer of PSA International. She takes charge of the financial matters for the PSA International Group of companies globally, spanning more than 150 locations in more than 40 countries. As Group Chief Financial Officer, she oversees the financial performance and manages risk for the group, working in tandem with the rest of the Senior Management Council.

Prior to this, she was the Group Head of Commercial for PSA International. As Group Head of Commercial, she is the custodian of global relationships with key customers of PSA’s global operations. Her role includes seeking win-win collaborations with customers and working with them to create value for a long-term partnership.

Previously, she was also the Regional Chief Financial Officer of Southeast Asia in PSA International. Her role then included overseeing the Finance function for the region which comprises flagship operations in Singapore and overseas investments in Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam. These operations made up a substantial portion of the group’s profits. Wai Yan played an instrumental role in transforming PSA Singapore’s operations, particularly in establishing joint ventures with several shipping lines in Singapore to ensure the Singapore hub continues to thrive. From contract negotiations to becoming a key architect of PSA’s unique Joint Venture model, Wai Yan contributed to the success of various entities in Singapore.

Before taking on the job of the Regional Chief Financial Officer, she was the Vice President of Corporate Accounting for more than ten years where she took charge of financial accounting, tax, risk management and transaction processing.

Wai Yan currently serves as a Board Director for several PSA entities.

Wai Yan graduated from Imperial College London and holds an MBA from Columbia University. She is married with three children.
